PhD in Sociology. Assistant Professor at the School of Sociology and Public Policies of the ISCTE-Lisbon University Institute.

Member of the Research Team that set up the OBSERVA-Environment and Society Observatory, where she participated in the 1^st and 2^nd National Surveys on the Representations and Practices of the Portuguese Citizens on the Environment (1997 and 2000) and coordinated a project on Agriculture and the Environment: The European Agro-Environmental Measures in the West Region of Portugal. She has published several pieces of research in the fields of Environmental Sociology and Rural Sociology.
