Augusta Correia was born in Lisbon on April 26, 1980. She graduated in Social and Organizational Psychology in 2002 by the High Institute of Labor and Business Sciences with a thesis on "Maternal Beliefs About Ethnic Socialization".

She was senior researcher in market studies, coordinating national projects in diverse areas, such as energy, telecommunications, banking, insurance and tourism. In February 2010 she joined OBSERVA’s project "Net Zero Energy School: Reaching the Community" under a grant of the Foundation for Science and Technology.
