The OBSERVA realizes studies and divulgations actions about social dimensions of problems and environmental policies. The observatory makes national surveys and keep a database of environmental subjects. Two landmarks of the activity of OBSERVA were the national surveys on environment and society - The Portuguese and the Environment (1999 and 2004).
